The laser display industry/total budget exceeds 27.6 billion yuan

Introduction: As a top priority in the management reform of the national science and technology plan, the national key research and development plan has received attention from all parties. At present, the total publicly announced funds have exceeded 27.6 billion yuan. Projects 18, 19, and 20 are all three primary color laser display technology projects.

In the industrialization path of this technology, in recent years, the national enterprise Dewei Video has taken the lead in making many positive explorations and practices.
With the maturity of technology and the continuous standardization of industry order, projection companies and home appliance companies, including Dewey Video, Barco, Keshi, NEC, Sony, Guangfeng Optoelectronics, Shimeile, and Hisense, have all adopted laser displays and began to ship in large quantities in 2016, thus indicating the true arrival of the laser display era.
According to the analysis and prediction of research institutions, laser display is an important stage in which the penetration rate will increase from 10% to 60% in the next three years. By 2020, it will be promoted to a sunrise industry with a billion yuan level.

Introduction: It has two national research centers; Three State Key Laboratory; Two hospital level laboratories (centers). In addition, there are also Semiconductor Integrated Technology Engineering Research Center, Optoelectronics Research and Development Center, High Speed Circuit and Neural Network Laboratory, Nano Optoelectronics Laboratory, Optoelectronic System Laboratory, All Solid State Light Source Laboratory, Component Testing Center, and Semiconductor Energy Research and Development Center.

Introduction: PhD, researcher, doctoral supervisor. Mainly engaged in the growth and device research of GaN based optoelectronic materials, with a deep understanding and understanding of the material growth mechanism, material physics, and device physics of GaN based ultraviolet detectors. We have successively developed high-performance GaN based ultraviolet detector unit devices, planar arrays, and APD detectors, and have also made contributions to the implementation of China's first GaN based laser.

The main research areas include photochemistry/functional materials and technology, functional crystals and laser technology, low-temperature science (engineering) and technology, national security related technologies, and bio based materials and medical technology equipment.

Introduction: Doctoral supervisor, researcher of Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In September 2015, Dr. Bi Yong's laser manufacturing team participated in the evaluation and was ultimately proposed to be admitted to the research institute as an innovative project.
The above three major topics are strategic, fundamental, and forward-looking scientific issues related to the core competitiveness, overall independent innovation ability, and national security of China's display industry. The main goal is to achieve breakthroughs in the key technologies and related supporting technologies of laser display machine research and development, and ultimately develop an internationally leading solution for three primary color laser display machine, establishing national/industry standards.
